Geoff Dugan is a trainer worth experiencing. A teacher of what he knows works, he values learning, integrity, curiosity, respect and fun, and demonstrates those values in all he does. His training style is entertaining, relaxed and powerfully generates results. Providing an environment and opportunity for people to discover ways that work best for them, he teaches 'a path of the heart' with excellence.
Among the qualities that make Geoff outstanding as a trainer is his ability to transfer knowledge. People who learn with him don't just take on data intellectually, rather the principles behind the knowledge become accessible in their behaviour. Geoff embodies those principles and demonstrates them. This means that anyone who has the advantage of studying with him has the opportunity to make the knowledge their own.
Geoff has studied NLP from 1983 - at Practitioner level in California, with Metha Singleton (a trainer with Leslie Cameron-Bandler), to Master Trainers' Training, in Munich, with Wyatt Woodsmall and Marvin Oka, in 1994. He has presented NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner Certification Trainings since 1991, nationally in Australia, in New Zealand and in Japan.
Geoff's background includes ten years in the Australian public health system (Diplomas in Psychiatric Nursing and Developmental Disabilities) culminating in his heading a special unit where he instigated and carried out innovative programs for difficult and marginalised long-term and acute clients.
Later training in psychodrama, psychosynthesis, gestalt, counselling and transformational seminar presentation led to the foundation, with his wife, Mahni, of Neuroads Pty Ltd in 1983. Neuroads provides NLP and other professional and personal development training, counselling, coaching and consulting services.
Geoff has collaborated with professionals from a range of fields to develop learning opportunities utilising voice, movement, music, dance, Feldenkrais, the Enneagram and the work of biologist and systems thinker, Humberto Maturana.
Geoff's direction is towards researching and developing possibilities for learning and creativity with particular emphasis on Ericksonian Hypnosis, metaphor and language. He is also engrossed in Aikido, organic horticulture, sustainable building, and eco-tourism.
